A Message from Kim
I have had the opportunity for many roles in my life, and each has played a part in my becoming involved in the field of Peer Support and Mental Health Services. All of my various work roles, (freelance computer trainer, co-owner of a systems integration business, post-secondary educator), were rewarding but the most impactful has been my work with wise and dedicated peer supporters from across Canada as the author of the Peer Support Guidelines (Mental Health Commission of Canada) and becoming the inaugural Executive Director of Peer Support Canada. My current work as a facilitator and author allows me to own my story and share what I have found to be helpful for myself and others who I have supported. Like a friend who has been there, I am happy to accompany you on your journey – whether it be a journey towards recovery or a journey towards a career in peer support. |
